To celebrate Smokey’s incredible legacy, Custer Gallatin National Forest will host the Rudolph Wendelin Smokey Bear Painting Tour from August 12th through August 23rd, 2024. This nation-wide tour features the iconic artwork of Smokey’s most famous artist, Rudy Wendelin.\nArtwork will be on display at both Earthquake Lake Visitor Center and the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center. Additionally, three original watercolors of the Earthquake Lake area by Rudy Wendelin will be on display.\nOn Smokey Bear’s actual birthday, Friday August 9th, we will be celebrating with a part at the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center with cake and appearances by Smokey himself.\nStay tuned for more details!\n\n\n
