Celebrate the 4th of July In West Yellowstone

West Yellowstone has all kinds of activities happening to help you celebrate the Fourth of July. Check out the schedule of events below, and don’t forget to sign up for the parade at 6:00 p.m.

Firefighter’s BBQ

11:00AM – 1:00PM: BBQ Fundraiser at the Chamber/VIC (30 Yellowstone Avenue). Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and homemade root beer. Come meet Sparky!

Farmer’s Market

1:00PM: Museum of the Yellowstone Lawn. Shop and take home some local wares.

Pie on the Porch

1:00 Until Gone!: Join us at the historic Union Pacific Dining Lodge (located at 220 Yellowstone Avenue) for a homemade slice of heaven from some of the best bakers in Montana. This annual fundraiser pleases every palate! $5.00 per slice, but I guarantee you will want the whole pie! Room inside to sit and relax while eating your pie!

Buffalo Chip Chuck

3:00PM – 5:00PM: Pioneer Park Baseball Diamond. Fundraiser sponsored by the Library Foundation. Show us what you’re made of and chuck those buffalo chips (shellacked for no mess).

Parade

6:00PM: Parade route below. Join us for the most festive small town 4th of July Parade you will ever experience. We do it BIG in West Yellowstone and we can’t wait for you to experience it with us! Be ready to catch some candy!

Anyone can enter the parade – whether you have a float, a bunch of horses, a group of bike riders or walkers, we WELCOME all of you to join us! Theme: “Fourth of July” Prizes for 1st three places. FREE Music in the Park Concert

Come enjoy a night full of FREE music surrounded by festivities! Music will start at 5:00PM with our first opener, Daniel Kosel. Music will pause when the parade starts and will resume at 7:00PM with second opener, SunsAh406. Then get ready to rock out and boogey to the country-rock band, or a rock band that plays country with hard rock roots, styling of the Devon Worley Band – who will play right up until the fireworks start, ending the evening with The Star-Spangled Banner as the fireworks begin.

7:00 PM: 6.5 miles west of town at the Rodeo Grounds

Parking available at the Old Airport off of Iris Street at the west edge of town.

Fireworks are not permitted at any time inside Yellowstone National Park or on the National Forest surrounding West Yellowstone.

No Fireworks on National Forests: Fireworks are always prohibited on national forests, regardless of weather or conditions. Violators can be subject to a $5,000 fine and/or up to six months in jail (36 CFR 261.52). Anyone who starts a wildfire can be held liable for suppression costs.
