ABOUT THE CHAMBER

The West Yellowstone Chamber has operated since 1987. Located on the corner of Yellowstone & Canyon, the Chamber runs on a staff of two professional, highly dedicated employees whose sole mission is improving and fostering business in the West Yellowstone. Along with looking out for the business needs of our members, the Chamber also operates West Yellowstone’s Convention & Visitor’s Bureau (CVB) and Visitor Information Center. The CVB is committed to increasing tourism in the West Yellowstone area, and ensuring that local businesses benefit from visitors to West Yellowstone. The West Yellowstone Visitor Center, the busiest in all of Montana, runs on a staff of several employees both full-time and seasonal.

MISSION: The West Yellowstone Montana Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the West Yellowstone area so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.  All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests of the area.

CHAMBER COMMITTEES

  • 4th of July – coordinate and publicize 4th of July activities including parade, fireworks, and other related activities
  • Cross-Country (Nordic Ski) – develop and coordinate muscle powered winter-related events and activities working with WYSEF (West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation), including the annual Yellowstone Ski Festival
  • Ice Fishing develop and coordinate events and activities related to ice fishing
  • Kids N Snow – coordinates an award-winning program that encourages kids to get out and try winter activities in a fun and safe environment
  • Marketing – support the implementation of the annual Montana State Accommodations-funded Marketing Plan & Budget
  • Membership – develop membership marketing materials, execute campaigns to recruit new members, and work to retain existing members
  • West Yellowstone Trail Program – coordinate with the USFS to oversee trail maintenance, grooming and operations for both snowmobiles and ATV/OHVs trails surrounding West Yellowstone, within Montana borders
