There is over 3,472 square miles, or over 2 million acres, in Yellowstone National Park – which means that while they are repairing the damage in the north loop, approximately half, or 1,700 square miles of the southern loop are open to explore, hike and experience. While the Park is working diligently to repair damage and re-open the northern loop, what better time to take the opportunity to explore the area and all the activities outside of the park, in and around West Yellowstone!
